Home » About me Hi, my name is Duco Bergsma and I'm the owner of this site. Several years ago I created this simple outpost on the internet as a release valve for my creative, stormy brain. This was needed cause I -as well as other members of my family- seem to suffer from something like a 'Compulsive Creativity Syndrome' (CCS). The symptom of this syndrome is that whenever I encounter situations where people need to perform repetitive operations I mostly come up with some kind of automated solution. I try to flush this creative energy into the internet so it can absorb and release the pressure from the brain. And, I must say it works! I seem to be sane and did not (yet) automate the cat feeder, however do I do think about a way to automate litter box cleaning ;-) My first computer was a ZX81 and it changed my life as my first modem changed my parents phone bill. With the 'Spectro Display' team we linked ZX spectrum computers using mic and ear lines to enable us to play Sea Battle. We even build a F16 cockpit with a projected foreward view. Well well those where the days! But as with most boys I grew up (mostly), got a job, married and begot children. But, my creativity stayed and forces me to build solutions. Later at work I created thinks like my own BBS, a diskette changer that enabled me to automatically create multiple printer driver disks for WordPerfect or lab mechanisms to print and measure barcode's from matrix printers. Some things can be bought, but why buy them if you can build your own! On this small outpost I publish some of the things I've build over the years. Currently I am employed as IBM Lotus Notes/Domino consultant for Eniac Essentials which is part of Imtech ICT Netherlands. Duco Bergsma My Curriculum Vitae |
